Current Location: Buffalo, WY
We've been chasing the sunset for seven days and it's been awesome! No complaints about living in a van or subsisting primarily on canned foods, enduring 3 days of the great plains or the eternal corn fields of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and South Dakota. It comes with the territory (literally) of realizing the vastitude of the country.
Today we got to witness the
grandeur, and coincidentally, the 10 degree weather of the bad lands - pictured somewhere on this page- it's windblown spires, once formed the basin of an ancient sea. It's also a hot bed of found fossils of dinosaurs and other extinct dinosaur counterparts, like three toed horses and stuff. We've gained 2 hours since the east coast and we'll gain one more in pacific time once we cross into Idaho from Montana. Woo hoo! the west. America is a darn fine country who apparently likes having her picture taken... I've taken about a thousand, posted a few.
FYI : 90% of the photos were taken at 65 mph through dirty windows. and they go in order sequentially from bottom to top of page
Notable places so far:
- Niagra Falls, NY (kind of)
- Erie, PA
- Cleveland, OH
- Anne Arbor, MI
- Chicago, IL
- the heartbeat of america
- the great plains
- the Bad Lands, SD
